Tallyessin
Grim Reapings: bloody tales for harvest tide will probably begin the evening's entertainment, with Tallyessin, Winner of the Bardic Chair of Caer Badon. See the Profile page and www.tallyessin.com.
The Rachel Gittus Band
This indie folk band from Oxfordshire is a blend of sax, trumpet, djembe, congas and whistles, with a marvellous rhythm, beautiful voices and a delicious wit. The songs stick in the soul for weeks! Check their myspace page or their great track, Milk, on YouTube.
Friday Night, 1 August
Seize the Day
This is an award winning protest band that will make you dance, yell, cry and laugh, sometimes all at the same time.
Check their website.
Before Seize the Day we have another gig by an increasingly popular performer in the Pagan and Druid community ...
Damh the Bard
Damh is a modern-day Bard whose spirituality, and love of folk tradition, is expressed through his music, storytelling and poetry. Drawing on the Bardic traditions his performances are both entertaining and educational, weaving a tapestry of myth, peace, and anthems that speak directly to the heart, but never without a good splash of humour. Damh is a musical storyteller who works within the world of myth that cannot be proved; where the Faerie really do dance on Midsummer's Eve, where the trees talk, and the Hollow Hills take you into the realms of Annwn. Where the Goddess rides her horse, guiding you to magic, and the Horned God of old calls us from the shadows of the Greenwood.

Siân James
Siân is the most celebrated and modern of traditional singers in Wales today. Her beautiful syrupy voice plays over the top her exquisite harp, sharing the old songs, bringing them vibrantly into life. A beautiful and much loved performer whom we are very happy and lucky to have playing for us this camp. She will be giving a workshop on Sunday. www.sianjames.co.uk
Magicfolk
Esoteric mystical psych-folk from this Norwich-based 7 piece band. www.magicfolk.co.uk
ALSO PLAYING will be a number of bands and performers, both at lunchtime in the cafe and as evening gigs. These include ..
Mad Magdalene
A new venture that has already landed several gigs at Pagan events across the land, Mad Magdalen play music “in the tradition”. You can expect old folk songs, new folk songs, but no middle aged folk songs! English tunes pepper the set that is designed to make you at least tap your feet, hopefully dance.
The band comes of many evenings and nights spent in kitchens, drinking beer and wine, and swapping tunes for no reason other than the love of it. This is the way music passes from generation to generation, each playing the old tunes with a new voice. This stuff is just as much your heritage as Stonehenge.
Come along and touch your roots!
