August 15th to 19th 2018

This post confirms we have a new site and a new date, which is hopefully showing on the front page – 15th to 19th August 2018. The site is not far from the old one, set in a woodland glade. So much is yet to be done… the bookings that were made, reconfirmed or replaced… establishing a new ticketing system (mostly sorted now)… developing a list of folk willing to help out on site. So much, and yet it’s all now under way once more. Cannot wait. A pause in the planning…

Many of you will know Jules, the manager of the organisation that hosts Druid Camp, Rainbow Futures.  Sadly Jules has had a stroke and although she is now recovering in hospital she will not be running camps this year.  At present we are waiting to see if anyone will be stepping forward to take on Jules’s role, or if an alternative site/host can be found.  I will give you more information as I have it. Anyone who has already brought a ticket will obviously be refunded should we have to cancel the camp.   Rainbow Futures has hosted Druid Camp for 18 years, and the Camp would not be the amazing event it is without Jules, please send her your love, prayers and healing energy for a speedy recovery. Work in Progress

Samhain is passed, and winter approaches. The evenings come on faster, but due to our oddities with the clock we still wake to the dawn sunrise. All is slowing, the darkness holds a tighter grip on all the life in and around us. The ancestors are still close behind us. It’s still 2017… But we’re already working on Druid Camp 2018! The web site has been migrated to a faster server dedicated to running WordPress. The old 2017 site is slowly dismantling, and the new 2018 theme should be up early in the New Year. I’m thoroughly chuffed to be able to share Syre Byrd’s review of  last year’s excellent Druid Camp as well as a short video I took of the closing chant that finale’d the Saturday whole-camp ritual. You can discuss these perhaps in the Rainbow Druid Camp Facebook group. Have a splendid Yule, folks. See you in
