Getting Here

None of this has been checked for 2017 yet…

The 2017 Druid Camp will be held close to Westbury-on-Severn, near Gloucester. Here is a NEW MAP link to the village. Fields don’t generally have post codes; cows are awful correspondents and even eat the junk mail. However, GL14 1RE will put you not very far away. The fabulous Chris Hastie has put a druidcampmap together for you which will print out well.

On this page we offer some information on getting to the site by various means. We encourage anyone who can to take public transport or car share. Car parking is available at the site and we expressly ask everyone remove their vehicles to the car parking area adjacent the camp site unless they are living in them.

If you have any further queries about getting to or from the Druid Camp, please email us.

By Public Transport

The closest major railway and bus stations are in Gloucester.

From Gloucester, there is a local bus service that will take you to Westbury-on-Severn in about 20 minutes. The buses run frequently on Wednesday but with much less frequency to get back on the Sunday. Check the times of the local buses on Sunday before booking your return tickets from Gloucester to avoid long waits at the station. The local buses that go between Gloucester Bus Station and Westbury-on-Severn are run by Stagecoach and are numbers 23, 30, and 31.

By Car Sharing
If you are driving to the Druid Camp, we ask that you please consider offering a lift to other people coming from your area. In this way, we can reduce the carbon emissions used to transport people to the camp. We have set up a page on the Freewheelers website to enable people to offer and request lifts:

  • If you are driving, go to our Freewheelers page, enter the details of your journey, and see if anyone in your area needs a lift.
  • If you need a lift, go to our Freewheelers page and see if someone is already driving from your area – if not, enter the details of your lift request.

By Car or by Foot

Take the A40 from Gloucester heading West towards Ross and Chepstow. After a couple of miles you’ll come to the Highnam roundabout, take the first exit onto the A48 signposted Chepstow (there are speed cameras along this road). After about 7 miles you’ll reach Westbury-on-Severn.

Just as you enter the village you’ll see a turning on your left called Rodley Road; follow this road for about a mile. The entrance to the site is on your left through a field gate which will be signed (and probably garlanded!)
